Bev's bears made for charity

Through the years, Bev has created many special bears for a variety
of charitable organizations and individuals.

Some have been extensive editions and some are one-of-a-kind creations while others have been obscure and some were advertised, but all are profoundly important.

Here are but a few that you may recognize.

Mitchell and His Twin Brother Matthew.

Bears by Beverly White.

Little Chance

To continue the effort to Give Kids A Chance, 400 miniature bears were manufactured in brown and gold fur.

Tiny Chance is a 4" tall bear, fully articulated and made from mohair. A numbered edition.

All proceeds went to the organization.

The original 30" Chance bear was created to benefit Mitchell (sleeping child) in his battle against Histiocytosis.

His vest was autographed by Joe Torre,
famous coach of the Yankees and a cancer survivor himself.

Chance traveled around the world with Bev,

then he was auctioned at the QVC National Show, November 2000 for $20,500.00.

Proceeds going to the organization for research.

2004

Missing is a 20" tall OOAK bear created
for an auction to benefit The International Teddy Bear Relief Fund.
Held at Expo in August 2005.

It was so difficult to witness the despair and pain on the faces of the people affected by the tsunami in Japan in 2004.

One brief image of that awful catastrophe remained imprinted in my mind
and on my heart.

Missing represents not only the haunting face of that little lost boy seen by all the world
that day, but to me he also represents
the enormous human loss, the many who will be forever missing.

On rare occasions, it is difficult for me to part with a bear that I have made.
Missing is one of them.
